Today is officially day eleventy billion of the playroom clean up 2010 and I'm super thrilled to report no new progress... unless you count moving stuff out of the new playroom back into the old playroom so it looks cleaner progress. Yeah... I don't either.
My new plan:
anything that isn't put away yet probably doesn't have a home
if I don't have a home for it can go downstairs
if the kids and I don't notice it's downstairs then we don't need it
it will be easier to donate when it's downstairs anyway
So technically there is a method to my madness, but right now it just looks like I'm stashing all the crap I don't want to sort through in a room that I can lock. Which may or may not be true.
These photos are from Saturday, but it doesn't look a whole lot different now.
Scary, isn't it? I can't wait for it to be d.o.n.e so my kids will play in there and leave me the heck alone for 2 whole seconds. A girl can dream, can't she??

2 Thoughts From Others:
Toys.
They are the bane of my existence. I am driven stark raving mad on a daily basis because of toys. Big toys, small toys, toys with a thousand pieces.
Arrrrghghghghg
I'd love to get rid of most all of them. I swear the darn things multiply through the night.
Hang in there - it'll look great when you're done - and then you'll let the munchkins in there and wonder what happened to all your hard work. At least that's how it happens for me!
I hear you. Our living room and playroom look the same. I am hoping for a day soon where I can take my kids to my grandmother's house so I can be able to clean out and put toys we don't need into a garage sale box. We don't need all the toys that we do have and I hope to sell them. I just can't stand the mess anymore!
(I keep saying that and absolutely never act on it lol)
Got your blog from UPB10 and I hope you visit us as well!!
